Nu există procedură de instalare:
copiaţi pe calculatorul dvs. arhiva de mai sus iar apoi extrageţi oriunde pe calculatorul dvs.
sau pe o memorie USB fişierul WinDown.exe din arhiva. Executaţi fişierul WinDown.exe.
După pornire, apăsaţi butonul "?" şi citiţi informaţiile din "Instructions" pentru a utiliza eficient programul.

 
REQUIREMENTS:
- Windows 2000, XP or Vista operating system.
The application uses 310KB space on the HardDisk (or USB stick) and 5MB free RAM memory. The processor's usage is insignifiant.

INSTALLATION:
- (download and) copy the application's executable (windown.exe) anywhere on your computer (on the Desktop, in My Documents etc.)
- run de executable (windown.exe) and start using the application. The application can be copied and run even from an USB stick!
You can create a shortcut to this application on your Desktop if you click on the "?" button, then on the "Create Shortcut" tab. After the first run, the application will create a configuration file (windown.ini), next tot the executable file. You can delete anytime this file. No other information or files will be saved on your computer!

UNINSTALLATION:
- delete de application's executable (windown.exe) and its configuration file (windown.ini).

USAGE:

1) Choose the TIME INTERVAL before computer shutdown:
- right click the first group of green numbers in order to increase the number of hours
- left click the first group of green numbers in order to decrease the number of hours
- right click the first group of green numbers in order to increase the number of minutes
- left click the first group of green numbers in order to decrease the number of minutes
Click shortly the numbers to change the values by one unit. Keep the mouse button pressed in order to change faster the values. You can change as many times and as often you wish these values. These values are saved automatically, so when you restart the application the last values used are displayed. The minimum time interval is one minute. The maximum time interval is 99 hours and 59 minutes.

2) START the counter:
- click the red Start button: the countdown will begin.
The Start button name will change in Stop. A third group of green numbers, representing the seconds, will be displayed. The time displayed will represent the time remaining until computer shutdown. When the time interval expires, your computer will be shut down. Read TO KNOW information below!

3) CANCEL the shutdown:
Anytime the counter is active you can
- click on the Stop button. The time values displayed will be reset to the value you indicated previously.
- click on the "X" button (Exit). The application will close.

4) Other information:
- You can move the application's window anywhere on your screen, by dragging from its title. The last position will be saved when you close the application, so at the next restart it will be displayed in the same position.
- Click on the "?" button to display a new window with general information and help. Click again to close the new window. The window will be automatically closed if you exit the application.

TO KNOW:
When your computers shuts down, it closes first all opened applications. If the operating system (Windows) cannot close an application, it might not shutdown your computer. If you have unsaved information in opened applications, it might be possible to loose them if Windows does not close those applications properly (because of Windows or those applications themselves).
